Haaland's professional journey began modestly at his hometown club, Bryne, before moving to Molde FK under the mentorship of former Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjær.
His breakout moment arrived swiftly after his move to Red Bull Salzburg in Austria in January 2019. It was here, in the cauldron of the UEFA Champions League, that he truly burst onto the global scene.
He became the first teenager to score in five consecutive Champions League matches, netting eight goals in the group stage and catching the eye of every major European club.
In January 2020, Haaland made a strategic move to Borussia Dortmund in Germany. His impact was immediate: he scored a hat-trick on his debut in just 23 minutes, coming on as a substitute. Over two and a half seasons with the club, he maintained an astonishing goal-per-game ratio, winning the DFB-Pokal (German Cup) and earning the Bundesliga Player of the Season award for 2020/21.
His story reached its crescendo in the summer of 2022 when he moved to Premier League giants Manchester City. In his debut season (2022-2023), he did not just settle in—he shattered records.
Haaland broke the all-time Premier League single-season goal record, scoring an incredible 36 league goals. Across all competitions, he netted 52 goals, a record for a player at a Premier League club in a single season, helping Manchester City secure the historic continental treble: the Premier League, the FA Cup, and the UEFA Champions League.
Haaland’s relentless drive continued into subsequent seasons. By the end of the 2023/2024 campaign, he had secured a second consecutive Premier League Golden Boot. Known for his powerful left foot, clinical finishing, and remarkable off-the-ball movement, Haaland is widely regarded as one of the best players in the world.
He also holds the record as Norway’s all-time top goalscorer for the national team. His story is far from over, but his early career has already established him as one of football's most dominant and feared goal machines.
